In August 2018, it was reported that Sony were developing a movie based on Marvel Comics character Jackpot.[2] Marc Guggenheim, a writer on the Jackpot comic books, was added to write the screenplay in May 2020,[1] though he had been working on the film for over two years at that point.[3]
